Sticker Shock!

We just checked into the price of our moving truck. We are seriously thinking of constructing a wagon and getting a couple of donkeys. There is nothing budget about Budget truck rentals. We will most likely go with UHaul. I told my husband there must be a reason why we see so many of them on the road! That is, of course, unless we can find our donkeys locally.I'm busy comunicating with computers this morning, arranging to terminate phone, PGE, etc. I remember the 'good old days' when you actually got a real person on the other end of the line. Especially hateful are the phone systems that actually make you yell into the phone at the computer. Only after you've been forced to sit through their marketing message. The Working Assets people were nice though--I actually got to speak with someone there.
The flat files are packed and I have a few paintings still to box up, then the studio is finished. Really. I know we've been at it a week. Today we're moving into the living room to take down the mask collection, the skull collection, the Christmas lights (that stay up all year long, al la Cantina), and "Junior", our steer skull surrounded by a heart shaped wreath of several strands of little white lights. Whether we'll tackle the wall of bookshelves today remains to be seen.
A few other errands remain: Getting extra keys made for everything, oil change on Tonka (a native word for buffalo, not toy truck), and my husband still has to repair his vehicle that conked out last weekend.
So, on to it!

go to the post office and pick up one of those "we're moving our mail" packets. There are ususally coupons for moving related items in there.
