Winter Solstice!!

Today finds at the shortest day and longest night of the year. I’m already hunkering down in front of the fire with my sweetie, what are you doing? Longer days until mid-summer. A new snowstorm ushered in the evening, with four inches of snow falling within one hour’s time. I’m still not tired of the snow! The ice I can do without.

Another great painting day—I even dug back in to the family history painting. I don’t believe I’ve worked on it since Oakland! It feels so good to be back in the studio groove.

I got an email from USA Artists today—somehow I got on their mailing list. That’s great...I just hope someone from their org actually knows who I am. It’s a great thing....check it out at www.unitedstatesartists.org. You can only be nominated by anonymous jurors. I’m wondering if there is any way to make these shadow-folk aware of our existence? Looking at past choices they seem to pick rather high-profile people. Folks who have already made it. How do we on the edge of things fit in?
