New Studio!!

I’ve been without internet service for days, finally had a technician come to the house! He fixed it, but he, too, had to get on the help line. Now, shortly, I’ll see if I can get the VOIP phone hooked in.

NEW STUDIO!! I’ve moved my painting studio down to the new house and is it ever great. The light is fabulous, and once again, I have a studio that is nothing but studio. It’s small, but it’s ONLY my studio. Not a gallery, not a living room, not a dog-training center, not a parlor. Yay!! Plus the living room/gallery is sooooooo much nicer without a bunch of easels and paint all over the place.

The kitchen is oh-so-close to ready to begin installing things, first the wood cookstove. That must wait, however, for now that Leonardo has all the ceilings finished (except for the bathroom which I have not demolished yet) it’s time to finish the gallery. He finished putting up the last wall, now some patching and then the floor. We’re going to put the new floor over the old one since it is fine except for that big hole in the corner. We were going to patch it with oak like the rest of the floor until we found out it would cost $800 to patch that corner! That’s right, what we need is $8 per square foot! Too bad, it would have looked great but we will go with our pine plank floor overall.

Last night started the in-person Real Estate class in Santa Fe. Just 2 weeks and I’ll be through this one.
