Making Progress

Posted on May 6, 2008
Yesterday we went into Taos to proof some new giclée prints—as always, they looked great, I should just let them print w/out proof & save myself a day trip. They’ll be ready for pickup on Thursday.

Poor pup was sick! He barfed in the truck, luckily we managed to get him outside for the diarrhea. Ugh. From chewing on the dead things he drags home, no doubt. Must be the DAWG in him!

Today for me: dump runs, many, many dump runs. I want to get that entire back area cleaned up. Leonardo is working on the bathroom—ceiling is finished—he’s working on the nicho in back and the wallboard—looking like a room! He’s got our double doors framed in. Nice. When he’s finished with that, sometime next week, I’ll lay in the multi-colored slate tile floor. Then we can hook up the fixtures! So exciting.

Tomorrow is painting day—I’m jamming on that commission painting (for the bathtub). Spent all day Sunday on it and it’s really looking good. They’re asking when it’ll be done, so trying to move right along. Plus I just want to get it out of my hair so I can get going with some new work.

Thursday back into Taos to pick up the prints. Will hang the new artist’s work on Friday as I’ll need to make a run into Santa Fe to pick up goodies for the opening on Saturday, and then the opening is Sunday. Whew. No, we actually do not take days off.
